Al Gore III, son of former Vice-President and current global warming evangelist Al Gore, today copped a guilty plea to two felony counts of drug possession, two misdemeanor counts of drug possession without a prescription, and one misdemeanor count of marijuana possession.
And as one would expect Gore III got off with not even a slap on the wrist, which one defense lawyer who is not involved in his case pronounced as “passing the sniff test”.
Gore was busted back on July 4th, going 100 mph in his Toyota Prius, possibly trying to outrun global warming.
Or maybe he was just trying to get complete his drug run before the fireworks shows started.
Anyhow, if Gore III behaves between now and February 2009 he will be home free, just like he had never been busted.
In the meantime he continues to hang out at a live-in treatment center where he has been since his arrest.

First it was Democratic Representative “Cold Cash” Jefferson.
Next it may be Republican Senator “Cold Cash” Stevens.
This after the FBI and IRS swooped down on Senator Ted Stevens’ house in Girdwood, Alaska, search warrant in hand, investigating his links with managers of VECO Corp., the state’s largest oil-services company.
Bill Allen, then the chief executive of VECO and a corporate vice president, Rick Smith, pleaded guilty to several federal corruption charges for paying more than $400,000 to bribe Alaska lawmakers.
Evidently the folks at the FBI and IRS want to find out if any of that cold cash made its way into Stevens freezer.
Stevens a proponent of building bridges to no where with taxpayer dollars is the longest-serving Republican in the U.S Senate in history.
And you don’t get that way without covering your ass pretty well, so don’t expect much to come of this investigation.

Evidently it works too well.
The maker of “Top Gun for Men Herbal Extracts” discovered that by-golly some how its sex pill contains a compound similar to the drug tadalafil and well, works like the real drug Cialis.
Australia-based La Viva Blue says the pills could cause “serious health consequences” and advises that anyone who bought the product should not use it.
Sure they do.
Let’s see.
We have a pill that is supposed to give men a “boost” and by some tragic fluke it contains the stuff known for giving men a “boost” and the manufacture warns folks not to use it because it might give them a “boost”.
Okay.
The “dangerous pills” have an expiration date of December 2008, so if you find some with a later expiration date, you probably won’t get boosted.
