10/04/07 Edition:

Several more U.S. companies bent over and took it in the backside today, once again courtesy of the Chinese lead paint industry which apparently contaminates pretty much everything produced in China.

Today’s recalls include:

Key chains words like “truth” or “believe” engraved on them, Winnie the Pooh bookmarks and Baby Einstein Discover and Play Color Blocks, journals, bookmarks and bracelets made by Antioch Publishing, Pirates of the Caribbean Medallion Squeeze Lights imported by Energizer Holdings’ Eveready Battery Co. and plastic Frankenstein tumblers sold by Dollar General, children’s room decorating sets made by CKI Toys and wooden alphabet and math block wagons sold by KB Toys Inc.

Wonder when U.S. companies are going to realize that it really is not cheaper and certainly not smarter buying and reselling cheap shit from China?
