Timothy Elliott

Timothy Elliott, 55, is a convicted bank robber who isn’t supposed to gamble.

Unfortunately for Timothy Elliott he is also a millionaire of sorts, having recently won a $1 million with a Massachusetts Lottery scratch ticket.

He’s already collected the first of 20 annual $50,000 checks from the Massachusetts lottery commission and now he is looking like a loser facing a return to prison for violating his parole by gambling.

According to CBS News:

Elliott was placed on five years’ probation after pleading guilty in October 2006 to unarmed robbery for a January 2006 heist at a bank on Cape Cod. Under terms of his probation, he “may not gamble, purchase lottery tickets or visit an establishment where gaming is conducted, including restaurants where Keno may be played.”

Whoopsy.

Doesn’t leave much wiggle room does it?

The odds are that the lottery will find or simply invent a loophole to permit denying Elliott his winnings and the state will likely toss him in the slammer for five years.

Po’ Ol’ Timothy – it’s not whether you won or lost, it was that you played the game that was your downfall…

Some folks have absolutely no idea of how to treat their Momma.

And here is just a couple of examples…

Debra Loreth, 53, of Belleview, Florida has been busted for stuffing Momma in a couple of trash bags and dumping her beside the road after the old gal died, apparently of natural causes. The cops say that Loreth also admitted to cashing one of her mother’s retirement checks. By the time po’ ol’ Mamma’s body was discovered animals had torn her legs off. Loreth is charged with improper disposal of a body and uttering a false instrument and is apparently stuck in jail for lack of $500 bond.

Then there is the matter of Benjamin Martin, 31, a New Jersey man who today pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter for whacking his Momma, Nancy Martin, who lived in Carbondale, Illinois.

Reportedly Momma Martin showed up unexpectedly at the home of Benjamin Martin in New Jersey, a house which she owned. After about 12 hours of putting up with Momma’s drinking and complaining about how messy the house was, Benjamin Martin says he kinda’-sorta’ put his hand around the 51-year-old woman’s neck and throttled her.

In pleading guilty Martin said he didn’t mean to off Momma and that it was only after her arm went limp that he realized what had happened. Martin says that after whacking her he stashed Momma’s body in the garage for a few days and then dumped her body under a pile of brush at a dilapidated farmhouse in a remote part of Gloucester County. The he drove her rented car to a shopping center in Washington Township, called the cops and reported her missing.

Ultimately Martin’s downfall was a security video that showed him parking Momma’s car at the shopping center. With that info the cops managed to get Martin to confess and show them were he stashed Momma.

Martin who is facing between 10 and 30 years in prison will undergo psychiatric and psychological testing before he is sentenced.

In a state famous for drunken liberals that need a good spanking, the state legislature is considering a bill to outlaw spanking.

An Arlington nurse, Kathleen Wolf, wants to make Massachusetts the first state in the nation to outlaw corporal punishment.

Under Wolf’s proposal, which just may become law, parents would be prohibited from forcefully laying a hand on any child under age 18 unless it was to wrest them from danger.

Evidently Wolf has no issue with spanking someone over 18, which is probably a good thing for those folks into S&M, B&D and that sort of stuff.

It appears that although Wolf convinced Rep. Jay Kaufman, a Lexington Democrat, to sponsor her “no spanking law” thus far the representative has not taken a stand on the issue one way or the other.

Maybe he’s afraid of getting spanked by the voters.

Come to think of it, maybe, just maybe, Kathleen Wolf needs a good spanking too…
