They really did not “flash” in the contemporary sense.
All they did was show a little school spirit along with their bloomers.
And haven’t cheerleaders been doing that for a long, long time?

In any case, the cheerleaders of Ripon High School in Ripon, California were suspended for two days after flashing a message to fans at the final football game of the season.

That they decided to flash their message by writing it on their bloomers is what got them into trouble.

Certainly it can not be that they showed their bloomers, as like we said above, cheerleaders have been doing that since the first cheerleaders appeared on the scene.

Oh well, one can only wonder what school administrators would have done had the girls decided to wear thongs and write the message on their butt cheeks…
