Never, in all my years of contact with him, did I myself ever see, hear, or feel anything that would make me think that these charges are true. Mr. Evans has been a dedicated Sea Scout Skipper for many years, and in my experience, has always gone above and beyond the call of duty to help, teach, and support the members of the group, giving them opportunities and teaching them skills that many of them, myself included, never would have had otherwise. We claim in our legal system that a person is innocent until proven guilty. Let us approach theses charges in that spirit.
