Early last Sunday morning, Pinellas County, Florida Deputy Sgt. John Daniels was working radar on the highway in a 45 mph zone when a 2007 Dodge Charger went charging by at about 100 mph.

Reportedly Sgt. Daniels falls in behind the speeder and sees the speeding car pass vehicles in a no-passing zone.

Eventually Sgt. Daniels catches up to the car where it had pulled over and stopped in a turn lane. As Sgt. Daniels approaches the car he notices that the male passenger has exited the car and is urinating in the roadway in full view of passing vehicles. The guy peeing in the road looks at Sgt. Daniels and goes back to taking care of business.

Doing as any normal cop would do Daniels sets out to get to the bottom of this, getting the driver out of the car and asking him why he is speeding to which the driver can provide no answer.

Cops in Mankato, Minnesota have spent days searching for a woman supposedly shot during a disturbance at a birthday party on Sunday was not shot after all.

Turns out the “blood” was actually taco sauce.

According to the Mankato Free Press:

Witnesses had reported a woman was shot after Mohamed Ahmed Ali, 23, allegedly shot a gun during a disturbance at the Eastport apartment complex at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Cops supposedly did find a rag with real blood on it, but it turned out that the stains in a hallway, which one witness thought was blood, was actually taco sauce as was the red stains on the clothing of the woman that was supposedly shot.

At the scene of the “shooting” cops found a gun and unfired ammo, no shell casings.

They did however turn up a broken taco sauce bottle.

One can’t help but wonder if the Detroit Police crime lab help investigate the case…

Why am I not surprised that the Detroit Police crime lab has been shut down because of errors?

I mean after all, in a town where the mayor is at the center of a crime wave what is so surprising that the folks at the local crime lab are incompetent?

In any case, Detroit Mayor Ken Cockrel Jr., Police Chief James Barren and Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced Thursday the lab has been shut down after errors were found in evidence from shooting cases.

Reportedly the crime lab chief and the 33 incompetents that staffed it are being reassigned.

To which we would add, hopefully to positions that do not involve police work…
