Just a few short months after incurring the wrath of the Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson for calling the Rutgers Women’s basketball team “nappy-headed hos” shock jock Don Imus is back on the air and promising not to do it again.

And to help make sure he does not do it again, or possibly to take the blame if he does, are two new cast member on the Imus show, black comedians, Karith Foster and Tony Powell. Hopefully Foster and Powell can provide counterbalance to Bernard McGuirk, the producer who instigated the Rutgers comment which led to Imus fall from grace last spring.

Let there be no doubt that Imus is still connected to the news makers. Imus comeback led off with none other than Democrat Chris Dodd and Republican John McCain and also political analysts James Carville and Mary Matalin.

Imus has a ways to go to reclaim his previous audience but he’s off to a good start with his show on the flagship station WABC and being carried on four other Citadel stations and 17 other stations owned by other companies and simulcast on cable’s RFD-TV.

Give him a year or so and Imus should be back up to the station count that he had before he was fired by CBS and MSNBC.

Provided his handlers and helpers can keep him from self-destructing again as odds are this is Imus last chance…

New York City which previously banned the ‘N-WORD’ is now considering banning the ‘B-WORD’ and the “H-WORD”.

According to the New York Times in regards to the word “bitch”,

Councilwoman Darlene Mealy of Brooklyn, who has introduced a measure against the word, saying it creates “a paradigm of shame and indignity” for all women.

Mealy is evidently getting some blow back on attempting to ban the word “bitch” from New York City, and even from fellow Council members who acknowledge using the word at home.

It should be understood that Mealy simply wants to ban the words “Ho” and “Bitch” from New York City.

Actual ho’s and bitches would not be banned under Mealy’s proposal and would likely continue to be an important part of NYC culture.

Robert Neil, the head of Cox Radio, which owns 80 stations in 18 markets, has gone and done it now.

He’s uttered the replacement for the infamous “N-WORD”.

Yep, sure enough he said “those people”.

Of course he was referring to those people that testified before a Congressional committee and who are demanding that radio stations pay singers every time their songs are played on the radio.

But reality can not be permitted to stand in the way of a good old-fashioned orgy of race baiting, so something has to give and that something may well be Neil’s job.

Sam Moore, of Sam and Dave fame, is so rilled that he first demanded an apology.
Now he’s just demanding that Neil be fired for saying:

I saw the testimony yesterday, and the reality is a lot of those people would be sitting in a shack somewhere in a small town if it wasn’t for the fact that radio supported their music when it was coming up.

The sad thing is that Neil is telling the truth.

Even sadder is that Sam Moore is off in la-la land and rather than singing “Hold on I’m coming”, it appears that he’s “going, going, gone”, as in around the bend.

Read it at Radio Exec Sparks Fury With Possible Racist Remarks and expect another Imus fiasco in the works.

And does anyone know how exactly what the hell a “Possible Racist Remark” is?
Is it kinda’ like the phrase “a little bit pregnant”?
